Astoria Inn LaGuardia Hotel

I stayed in this hotel last October for 3 nights. Location is very accessible to and from the subway and also the La Guardia airport. There are plenty of restaurants, and food trucks, in the area. My room is totally acceptable. Nothing fancy. The staff I have interacted with were very nice and personable. I would definitely consider staying here again if I am in the area.

Positive: 1) the respect and service I was given by the managers. In general, what is offered up front is not as much as other places such as breakfast and a laundry room, etc. but that is what I expected. The respect and attempts to assist me, was great Negative: The room was small but that is what I expected and paid for. it was clean! I love the fact it had a hard wood floor, no carpet.

Location was excellent and felt very safe , right beside aliman mosque.Lots of good food options around.Not too far from Astoria boulevard train station N and W trains.All front desk guys were courteous,polite ,kind and always ready to assist over and above board.Will definitely stay here over and over again

I reserved this hotel for 3 nights starting Tuesday. I was charged the full amount a few days before arrival. Since our flight was Tuesday night, we arrived on Wednesday morning, so early reservation was for a peace of mind and not having to wait till check in time in the afternoon. But to my surprise when I arrived at around 8am, the receptionist told me that my reservation was cancelled and I got a refund for 2 out of 3 days. Now to re-book I had to pay 50% higher rate and early check in fee. This is outrageous, I wasn’t even contacted beforehand by the property trying to warn me about their cancellation policy. I paid for that room and I expect that room to be reserved for that time regardless of when I arrive. If hotel wants to cancel, they should at least warn me beforehand. Ultimat

Me and my mom stayed here for 5 days in the first week of december, it was our first time in NY. The location is very good, the hotel is about a 10 minute walk away from a subway station. And theres many places nearby for breakfast, lunch or dinner. As for the room, it was okay. Nothing fancy but good enough to just sleep and take a hot shower. However, it did get quite hot in there sometimes due to the heater. We also did find a cockroach in the bathroom, but after getting rid of it we did not see any others. The front desk guys were very nice and respectful. If you need some food or drink in an emergency, i noticed they have cups of ramen and some drinks in a fridge behind the front desk. It was a good experience overall, i would rate it 5 stars if not for the unexpected guest in the ba
