Aspire Hotel and Suites

Stayed for an event hosted this past weekend, I choice to stay at aspire instead of the other half of the hotel because of issues I had the last two years staying in the other side while, aspire is clearly more updated like I was told I did have quite a few issues. I booked an ADA wheelchair accessible room I made sure it was very clear when booking that it was being booked and would have a wheelchair user stay in it. When I got checked in amd got a chance to look at the room it on first inspection looked really nice however the bathroom was an issue. The door would not close, there was a tub instead of a roll in shower. which is fine I would rather a show but law says they can have a tub however law says they must have a permit or removable shower chair/sheet. The hotel grounds and roads are not well kept or marked. Coming in at night, it was unclear where to park / drive. ||Upon entering the room there was a distinct barn smell. Like horses. ||The walls are thin and one can hear everything in hallway. The AC in the room was loud with a rattling noise while running leaving me to choose between 2 evils. ||Sheets are stained. Bathroom floor was not cleaned with urine around toilet and mold around floors/walls. There is chipped paint on the doors and floor. ||Overall - would not stay again or recommend.

The room was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. The heat/ac unit was noisy and kept waking me up through the night. Breakfast even though free left a lot to be desired. Bar/restaurant opens at 5 pm and there isn't anything within walking distance. The staff was mostly friendly but sparse and it was hard to determine if someone was staff as they were in street clothes, no uniforms or name tags.

Positive: The location was great and the room size was large. Negative: There were stink bugs on the curtains and we had an ant infestation. The staff were not very friendly or helpful.

I was traveling from Lil Burn, GA heading to Long Island, NY. In a instant, the storm that's been crawling across the nation hit hard! I'm thankful for making it to Gettysburg, and I so appreciate the hospitality at the desk on my arrival (since I pulled in at 2am). I checked in last night but due to snow accumulations I have to extend my stay. It would be nice if there were discounted rates for travelers caught in inclement weather conditions for safety. But overall...Very Nice! ...And Angie is a super hero! I'll always remember her kindness!
