Andrew Pinckney Inn

Our suite was comfortable and very big, with a decent sized bathroom. The bathrobes were a nice touch, and the room was quiet and clean.||Valet parking was chaotic. We went to grab the car to head out and nobody answered the receptionists requests for assistance. She ended up just giving us our keys to pull the car out ourselves. When it came to checkout, there were several people waiting to get their car and the attendant seemed a bit overwhelmed. We asked if we could have the keys to put our cases in the car and he wouldn’t give us them so we had to wait. Eventually he opened OUR car for us but kept the keys until we were ready to leave. We loved our stay at the Andrew Pickney. The location was perfect for walking to dinner, shopping King Street, visiting the market and near many carriage providers. The breakfast was wonderful with many options — we miss the quiche now that we are home! We also enjoyed the daily wine and cheese reception. The solarium is such a pretty setting with nice views and we always enjoyed Barbara’s company.

Very comfortable inn in a very walkable neighborhood, part of the historic district. It’s a short walk to The Battery and an even shorter walk to the Charleston City Market with a multitude of near-by restaurants. The staff provided restaurant and walking route recommendations and made checking in and checking out very easy. The hotel amenities were top notch with wine and cheese in the afternoon and an excellent breakfast in the morning. We will be returning for another longer stay!

The hotel is a quaint place in the heart of historic downtown Charleston. Wonderful breakfast! However, we forgot a bottle of wine we had purchased in the room and they failed to inform us even though we didn’t get our car from valet for several hours after checkout AND they identified us as the people that checked out when we picked it up. Sure, it was our fault that we forgot it but I expected a higher level of service from this hotel.

A truly superb stay, we would love to return to Charleston and stay at the Andrew Pickney again. Besides being a perfect location to walk around the city from, the staff are stellar, kudos to each of them - they are all friendly, intelligent people focused on the guest's experience from check in to check out. The person who checked us in was friendly, welcome and professional and went the distance to wish us a happy milestone anniversary. Both people at the valet parking were super helpful. The room was lovely, comfortable bed, quality linens, plenty of amenities (though we would get a slightly larger room next time).
