Anderson Ocean Club And Spa

This place is gorgeous from the 21st floor! We just loved it. Sunrise and Sunsets. Spacious with full kitchen. Kids had their own room. Washer and dryer in unit could use an update but still worked well for smaller loads. Excited to have the opportunity to experience this. The pools and Hot Tubs were clean! Will probably be back again!

The beach outside the hotel is beautiful, with soft sand and calm waves. That’s about the only nice thing I can say. We were shocked to learn that this hotel was built in 2007, because our furniture/furnishings looked to be circa 1989 - not only in style but wear and tear. The “ocean view” room had an ocean view from the tiny balcony or if you stood in one sliver of the living room area. The sliding door to the balcony was the only window in the whole place (unless you count the window in the bedroom that inexplicably looks out into the hallway - or, even weirder - looks in from the hallway), so it was quite dark and gloomy. I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Anderson Ocean Club Hotel & Spa. When we entered our room, there was visible mold present, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel—especially one that markets itself as a resort and spa experience. What made this even more concerning is that I was traveling with my two-year-old child. Mold can pose serious health risks, particularly for young children, and the fact that this was present in our room immediately made me question the cleanliness and safety standards of the property. I notified the staff right away and showed them the issue. While they acknowledged it, the only resolution offered was 20% off the stay and complimentary valet parking. We recently stayed at this property for two nights. The location was wonderful, and it was lovely to have a balcony that overlooked the ocean. For most of our visit, the staff were friendly and helpful, though things did not start out well, and the rooms are badly in need of attention, as I will describe. First, we were able to check in a bit early, which was great. We unpacked the car and brought all our things to the room we had been assigned on the 21st floor. Opening the door, we saw a large plastic tarp on the floor in the bedroom. Entering the room, there were several large paint buckets, a roller and other paint supplies, and cheerios and plastic wrappers on the floor. Clearly this room was not ready to be rented.
