This may have been the nicest motel room I've ever had, and the staff was incredible!||I originally booked the room for 2 nights through a 3rd party vendor, who had a non-refundable rate. The email from Americoast seemed to indicate that there was a 24-hour cancellation policy, so when our 2nd day fishing trip was cancelled, I tried to cancel the 2nd night. The gal at the front desk worked VERY hard to make sure that happened. She even worked with the 3rd party vendor to get the reservation cancelled, and then rebooked us for just the one night. I was very impressed with her perseverance to help us.||The room had obviously been updated recently. It was super clean, the paint was fresh, the floor a very clean wood-look laminate. For the price I can't complain. The location was nice. The rooms were clean but a little tired looking. The one complaint that I have is that the walls are so thin.You can hear people in the next room just talking in normal voices. Fortunately, we had quiet neighbors, so it wasn't really a problem. The sea is visible from most of the rooms, just a peek through the trees. I didn't find beach access within walking distance.

Old, run down, mostly clean. This motel is definitely not 2.5 stars, more like an old Motel 6. The rooms are old and dingy and kind of funky. no vending machines on site, and the front desk lady is not very friendly. Towels stained. Would not stay here again.

So quiet! One of our best nights sleep on our redwood and coastal trip. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable. Beautiful view of the ocean from our window, and close to everything. The towels look like they could use a refresh. We would definitely book here again!
