The staff is always more than helpful. Very Friendly, nice pool area and it's heated ♡ Clean hotel as well as nice clean rooms they all have fridge and microwave. We have stayed here a few times and we will definitely stay agian. Our kids love the pool. Should be rated 5 stars also free breakfast, nice location as well and good rates. They have an amazing suite with a nice jacuzzi tub ♡

Positive: The staff was super friendly and assisted multiple times right away when we needed help. Breakfast was great and pool was great! Negative: Our first room had a toilet that would not flush right, after multiple plunger attempts, the hotel staff moved us rooms.

The AmericInn of Ottumwa, IA was our destination on this trip. We were greeted warmly by the owner and given a nice room. We have been coming to this location twice a year for 3 years on family visits to see great grandkids and other family in the area. We are treated like family by the AmericInn. The great treatment has resulted in some of the family we only get a couple of hours with now want to rent rooms when we are in town. The breakfasts are good as is the swimming pool and hot tub. We lucked out finding the AmericInn and now look for them when we travel. The Ottumwa AmericInn definitely has set the bar high. We have yet to find an AmericInn elsewhere quite as good although we definitely recommend the brand.

My husband and I stayed here as a little get away for the weekend while we saw a comedian here. The room and the atmosphere was clean and very friendly staff. We were upgraded to the suite because the pool wasn’t working and I was looking forward to that but we did have a jetted hot tub in our room that we were very pleased with. We did try to go to the front desk once and nobody came around and the breakfast is free wasn’t bad but wasn’t 5 star worthy either. Overall it was an amazing weekend and worth staying for us.

I recently stayed here when my plans changed because of weather. From start to finish, this was a really good choice. The staff was very friendly and everything was clean and in working order. The breakfast is a bit limited but I did not leave hungry. I highly recommend this place.
