Americas Best Value Inn & Suites St. Clairsville Wheeling

Positive: Leaving Negative: a family of 5 (which we had) was only given 2 towels. maid did not come and clean at all during our stay. room was dirty when arrived

The hotel looks very clean and neat, I was very satisfied when I arrived. However, one night was more than enough for me as there were bed bugs on the beds!!! I was not able to sleep and moved from one bed to another during the night because I first thought there were mosquitoes and I got bitten quite few times on the first bed I used. Then I moved to another bed to avoid the mosquitoes, just to realise that I still got bitten! So I woke up at 5 am to search the room and rhe beds. I found a live bed bug and tried to kill it, the bug was so strong, it didn't die even that after been squized! This was the first time I found bed bugs in a hotel! It's horrible experience! I had more than 30 red bitten marks on me abd also had allergic reactions! They're so itching, burning itching. I don't thi

I've always wondered who stays at these random motels off the side of the highway far from a tourist attraction. Well, wonder no more. It is I, after driving from NYC needing a respite at 4 am with a dog in tow. The room was clean. The shower was hot and powerful. The bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge I didn't partake in the breakfast but it was available. The pool wasn't in operation, but it was after Labor Day. It looked like an old school one.

Stayed here 12-16. Dozens of bedbugs in Room 219. Bitten at least 10-20 times overnight while sleeping. Although front desk lady was nice enough to give trash bags to put my clothes and others materials to transport, there was no refund or voucher offered to rectify the situation. Possibly not the hotel’s fault that there were bedbugs in 219, but there should have been a better way to treat a paying customer that just got bedbugs in their motel and now has to deal with washing everything, possibly spreading it at own house, and having to buy new socks to get back home to Maryland.

The pool was open but green and a health hazard. The floors were filthy. The breakfast was lacking variety. There wasn't any fruit or muffins. Employees were apathetic and not interested if we were satisfied. I did not enjoy my stay.
