Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Port Arthur

Wasn't so bad of a place. But when I go to pay for another night, she told me I couldn't, that we needed to go, funny thing is, we stayed in our room the entire time, wasn't loud, and slept.. the. When I go to talk to someone else, she was very very rude, and proceeded to tell me that the room was booked. How can y have a room booked when someone else is staying in it.

DONT STAY HERE! They are rats and thieves and the front clerk cares nothing about customer service. Room TV didn’t work, they didn’t care to fix it.Also, I paid for an extra night at about 4:00 am. Later that day I had to leave due to an emergency and called them at about 9:00 am and told them I needed a refund and the woman I spoke with said only her supervisor was allowed to issue refunds but the supervisor wouldn’t be in until the following day. I call the next day and the same woman tried to give me the runaround and first tries to tell me that I need to go through hotels.com since I went through them for the first night and I told her I paid cash for the second night that I didn’t stay so I needed a cash refund. I would have given the place at least a 4 star review since the stay was pretty standard, rooms were very clean, and the hotel was quiet enough. However, there was one major issue... I got charged a deposit, which is totally fine with me. But over a week later, I still don't see the refund for the deposit on my bank account, I don't smoke so there shouldn't have been an issue with the refund. So I decided to give them a call. It turns out they forgot to refund my deposit back to my bank account. What's even more concerning is that they also didn't have my card info to send the money back, I had to give it to them again. In other words, if I would have forgotten about the deposit, they would have just kept it. My advice to management is to be more proactive in returning deposits in the futu

Staff was nice the first two days. One even cooked us sausage so sweet of her. Room smelled had to have air freshners and keep it freezing. Rooms couch had white stuff all over it may have been mildew. Carpet stained. Carpet in second floor hallway need changed. No iron or iron board.

The towels had hair on them. It's only 2 pillows on the king size bed. Nobody had a mask on. I pray I don't have covid now. And I went down for breakfast at 5am, and the Breakfast was only cereal, and a Waffle. Other then that, the room was clean and nice.
