Americas Best Value Inn Sandpoint

Obviously, the architecture and decor are dated, but the building and rooms are well-maintained, and the staff is helpful. They are in the budget category, and prices reflect that. Our weekend stay was just fine. We slept comfortably, and appreciated their central location between Sandpoint and Ponderay. Breakfast was pretty spartan, but when the Wife and I travel, we tend to explore local breakfast options, instead. We'd certainly stay here again on a couples getaway...

Positive: The front desk person was helpful and friendly Negative: The rooms were filthy. One smelled strongly of mildew. The other room had a tub with visible hair and an unidentified substance scattered all over.

This place is a complete dive. I had to wash the floors in my room because my feet were getting black. My ‘pool-front view’ looked onto an empty pool and hot tub. The hotel’s jumbo washers and dryers now occupy the pool deck. Even the ice machine is broken. I can hear other guests partying upstairs. It’s just gross. But one good thing is it is so ridiculously bad that I can’t stop laughing.

Liz- what a saint! She went above and beyond to fix my booking when I screwed it up. The rooms were cleaner than any other hotel I've stayed in and I am a professional house cleaner so that says a lot. I am beyond impressed with the customer service, cleanliness and price. This is place may have old reviews that are negative, the staff was not always as amazing as Liz! Definitely give this place a shot. Great central location too

Really a great bang for your buck. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast boxes were great!! So quiet too! There is a bit of an old cigarette smell in the hallways. Service was good! Overall it was a comfortable cheap place to stay and we would definitely stay there again!
