Americas Best Value Inn Novato Marin Sonoma

Large room, large bed, tub with nice shower head. Only problem was a small fridge that worked fine but had no real shelf and things just kind of fell over.

Positive: The manager was very accommodating as always. The room was very clean as always. Smart train is very convenient walk away. Negative: Noisy utility repair work. I smelled cigarette and pot smoke each of two nights I was there from room below. Staff and manager doesn't like it but really can't do anything about it. If you are sensitive or allergic to smoke do NOT stay here ...

Horrible management with no respect for its customers. I had to make an emergency last-minute change to a reservation given a family health issue. The person working at the desk the night before said they would absolutely change it and worked with the booking company to do so. I was told that it had been refunded completely by both the person at the front desk of the hotel and the booking agent. The next morning, when I called to confirm it, there was a rude woman at the front desk who told me that the night manager who showed up around midnight, told her that he would refuse to honor the cancellation that the woman at the desk had committed to the night before. The parking seems great little run down a little bit elevator doesn’t work right breakfast wasn’t that great and the price of the room isn’t that wonderful for what it is you have a small refrigerator and microwave, but the bed is hard on the covers and the curtains are all outdated pretty outdated

Not America's best, for sure. Beds on first floor were very hard (we were cautioned by staff). Looked as if door had been broken in to before. The room smelled musty and slightly like smoke. Everything felt grimey and dirty. Not at all like the pictures online. Lots of freeway noise. Only 2 types of cereal and muffins for breakfast. Also coffee. I don't recommend.
