American Motel, Lenoir NC Hotels Motels

Wonderful motel for a cheap price. No deposit, breakfast in the morning, staff is friendly and kind. I enjoyed my stay. Close to lots of restaurants, stores, gas stations, etc. rooms spotless, fresh clean towels everyday. This was very convenient for me to do get to the areas I was working in. It's quiet and peaceful there.

I called earlier today to ask some questions I had about renting a room for a night. Was just trying to find out the cost of a single, smoking room for 1 night, what time check in was and check out time. The person I spoke with (trying to be respectful, unlike how I was treated) was extremely rude and hateful and refused to answer any of my questions. Called me a name in a foreign language, not sure what but based on the conversation I doubt she said i was a nice girl lol. Based on how I was treated when I was simplely trying to get the information needed to decide about renting a room. If this is how potential customers are treated I would NEVER stay there. And a friend told me after I told her what happened, that she stayed there once during the aftermatg of hurricane Helena , and said

Positive: Room was clean, linens were nice. Negative: Ice machine was broken, and apparently had been for some time. That's never okay. Phone was not connected. Any questions to personnel required leaving the room and going to office. Absolutely not okay.

The only issue was ice machine not working NO real problem. Very clean which is always a must for wife. Good water pressure and hot showers, Breakfast is what you expect for continental but enjoyed the coffee. We enjoyed our stay & will be staying again.

I booked this place to stay for one night. I booked the room through Booking.com. the price was okay, however. When they went to run my credit card for payment it was declined three times. So, I went to the ATM and got the cash. When I got back to the room I called my credit card company and they said it was nothing on their end that it had to be the Motel's credit card machine. I didn't mind paying cash for the room, even though the issue wasn't my card. And now they wanted me to pay an extra fee for paying cash. ( Don't think so!!) The owners were rude and very smelly. The room was dated back in the 1990's, the tub and shower were nasty with hair. The carpets were also dirty with stains ( I cringe to think of what they could have been). I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Run as
