American Inn Punta Gorda

Very nice stay. This is a regular roadside motel for a decent price. Honestly I expected a lesser experience but the owner or manager was very prompt, very respectful, helped with additional accommodations. I felt safe and secure as he watches over the property seemingly round the clock. If you’re looking for an affordable, safe, clean stay then this will suit your needs! We would stay again!

I lucked out and was given a room around the back - #101. The view overlooked a nice grassy area and had palm trees. I'm sure it was quieter than the rooms in front facing the highway.||||The room was spacious – providing a work desk and chair and a separate table with two chairs. The refrigerator was larger than a typical dorm and the microwave worked great. The bed was very comfortable. The reception/management and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.||||I stayed here 10 days and found it very quiet. The room was clean and felt new. The TV channel options s were great (HBO!) and there was lots of room for me to work, relax and eat in the room. ||||I would definitely stay here again and recommend it – especially if you can score a room around the back!

I checked in late, 7 pm with a scheduled reservation. It was rainy , cold. I was a bit grumpy. Anita ( think that's her name?) that checked me is a lovely gal. 😍 very helpful was i settled myself down down It's close the Punta Gorda Airport, the reason it was my selected overnight stay to get to my next destination.

AWESOME! Don't know how to say how much I Love this place! Clean,landscaped, easy parking, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dresser, desk, table with 2 comfortable chairs, soap dispensers in the bathroom! Privacy is the utmost!

Staying here currently. There is a good bit of ambient noise in the room, but nothing that's going to prevent me from sleeping at all. Pretty sure it's the manager, but they were around at nearly midnight to check us in, since we're working on a catastrophe team. Very friendly. They were affected by the storm, it appears a few rooms have selected the "skylight" option, as they no longer have a roof. I wish them luck on their rebuild. Shampoo and shower gel in a clean and neat little dispenser in the shower - which was perfect since I totally forgot it when I went to Walmart. Updated room that appears and smells clean with what I'd imagine is working satellite TV under normal non post Hurricane conditions.
