American Campground

This was an overnight stay. Was looking forward to a hot shower and getting laundry done. Both were disappointing. The ladies room showers were ice cold. Tried all of them. You could only push the knob up to turn on and could not adjust the temperature of the water. Gave up. Laundromat very dirty. Needs attention. 3 out of six dryers were broke. Learned about the third one being broke when I dried my clothes for the alloted time and they were just as wet as when I put them in. The homes across from #1 bring a nasty odor of cat urine when the wind blows in our direction. Plenty of cats. Love cats but not the smell.

The "Hidden Gem of Del Rio/Val Verde County, TX. If you're looking for a very comfortable stay, this is the place! An excellent choice for a "standby " location due to home repair emergency. The private cabins are equivalent to a studio apt. The room was very clean. The stay was better than a standard hotel. The LED lights in the room was a hit! Reasonable rates and very accommodating staff! This is the place you want to be for a restful stay.

A Home Away from Home As someone working in the oil field, finding a good place to stay is tough. I was so glad to find American Campground in Del Rio, TX. I stayed in one of their fully furnished cabins, which felt like a true home away from home. The cabin was perfect, with a full kitchen, comfortable bed, and fast Wi-Fi. Beyond the great cabins, the amenities are a huge plus. The pool with a cabana, swings, and pool bar was a fantastic way to relax after a long day. The staff is incredibly welcoming, and the rates are great. This is easily the best campground I've ever stayed at and a perfect place for anyone working or traveling in the area. Also pet friendly!

These ladies are amazing! We loved our time here. Quiet community, safe, clean, and very accommodating.

What wonderful people that run this great facility. I had some bad issues before I got there. They were so sweet and helped me get back on the road and make it home in time for Thanksgiving.
