We had an amazing stay at Ambiance Chicago and truly felt taken care of from start to finish. Although they were a bit short-staffed with housekeeping and there was a small delay with our room, the team handled everything with grace, professionalism, and genuine care.They went above and beyond to accommodate us and made sure my husband’s birthday was extra special, which meant so much to us. That personal touch and level of customer service is what really stood out. It’s the kind of experience that makes you want to come back, and we absolutely will, even though this location is far from our home. I'm not sure how this place got decent reviews!?!? 🤔 When you walk through the door there is this smell I can't explain. Just know it will be hard to remove from your clothes. Didn't enjoy myself. Wanted to leave an hour after check in, was going to right when we walked in but paid $100 so we tried to see some positives... and it was my Wife's birthday! It's looker totally dingy and towels were hard. There were a couple of things. The white pillows were soft (except for this dirty tubular pillow which we took off the bed and put it on the chair. Everything worked but shower heads were rusted and when I turned it on a slight tint of brown water spew from the heads first then cleared up, NO!!! We turned the key in early. I originally wanted the Allure room but for some reason I wasn’t informed until AFTER I paid that I wouldn’t get the room I reserved. And was introduced to me as “There’s good news and bad news” like… what? I said I wanted the bad news first and the receptionist said I wouldn’t get the room I booked.. good news was I got an upgrade. The room with the hot tub… okay an upgrade… I didn’t want a hot tub room but I was tired and settled anyways. The room was clean and nice and well kept…. However. The room was chilly and would not hold heat so I use the fireplace but it shuts off after 30mins and have to keep restarting it. Listen to the bad reviews.** Service is horrible with staff not trained properly in policies or customer service. We paid and reserved a room weeks in advance but once we got there we were essentially told that our room was unavailable despite reservation because the whole place was fully booked. Even with my confirmation text and screenshots they still refused to admit fault and system error, even though they inadvertently admitted that the issue we faced is very common amongst other customers. ** Repeated issues that are still unresolved says a lot about management and quality. **

We stayed at Ambiance last night and unfortunately had a really disappointing experience. My friend and her boyfriend booked the Allure room, and my boyfriend and I also booked the Allure room on January 16th for Valentine’s Day, each putting down a $245 deposit. About an hour and a half before check-in, after checking our reservations (which we had been checking all day), we suddenly saw that my friend’s reservation had been downgraded from Allure to Pulse — which is several tiers lower than what she originally booked nearly a month prior. There was no notice of this change and no refund or adjustment to the deposit. When we called, the employee we spoke with was extremely rude and insisted that Pulse was the room originally booked.
