Acorn Motor Inn

I stayed here two years ago and the owner switched my room without notifying me. They threw out my food that I brought in the fridge. And when I went to the owner about it, he had all my belongings besides my laptop, which was still in the room in a plastic bag. Beyond that, there's loud music constantly going on at the bar in the parking lot until early morning. The rooms are old and filthy. This place is awful. Do not stay here. The Motor City Inn down the street is twenty times better.

This is the most horrible place imo. I went there looking for my daughter who has behaviroal issue, when I went to talk to the manager at the window, and explained my daughters life was at risk, I was trying to ask him a few and all he could do as point at the clock and tell me their closed and basicly was dismiss of me. ohh and the lobby smelt like krap. I would not support this business imo , I dont see how they even have a 3.7 star the way the motel is ran

This hotel is obviously dated, but it’s clean and charming and conveniently located to restaurants and the ferry terminal. It is also on the more affordable side so consider that compared to other hotels in the area. I found the owner I assume to be very nice and friendly to my daughter and I.

Positive: I've been in this area for off and on about 18 years and the acorn in has had a bad reputation in the past and I'm surprised and happy to say that it is a very nice stay. Negative: ""

We went on the cheap, dirty room we bought sheets to put on the furniture, needs a deep clean. The young lady was amazing kind. The old guy didn't want to give extra pillows or a towel.
