4145 by the Sea Inn & Suites

This review is for my 1-night stay at 4145 By The Sea Inn & Suites. First, I'd be hard pressed to describe this as an Inn, by whatever standards, as much as a number of rooms in a nondescript building. This was booked as an overnight pre-cruise stay due to the close proximity to Port Everglades. So, the one positive for me was the location, which is right in the middle of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc. Also, a quick ride down A1A to the port. I felt something was off the week prior to my arrival, receiving multiple emails about the automated check in procedure. After arrival, I punched in the code sent for room access, and this is where reality set in. I was in room #1, the Ivory Room, so I obviously can't speak to what the other rooms are like. First

The place was super clean! It even smelled so good! Very basic but all that you need for your staying minus a kitchen. I didn't need a kitchen or microwave. I made a mistake on my reservations and Margaret was so professional, caring that she honored my reservation and solved my mishap. Communication, I had to wait about an hour for her to communicate, but it was ok at the end it was my fault. Thank you. Definitely would stay again!

We loved the penthouse suite, especially with the private patio with a view! You can tell Marjorie puts in a lot of time and effort into this place and it shows. It's well maintained, clean and thoughtfully put together. It's also close to many restaurants and the beach so it's a good location and fairly quiet too. Our only issue might be the older AC units, one of them went out on us the last night so it got pretty hot in the living room. When we do the beach, we get hotter and want a very cold AC. It still works and kept the place cool, but at night we would like it colder for sleep. All in all a great vacation with a great host. Marjorie is very responsive and helpful if you need anything during your stay! I'd love to come again sometime!

This inn was acquired by new owners who are very focused on ensuring a top quality experience. The inn was very responsive via email and telephone, took time to answer questions about the area, beach, and beach conditions. They were very polite and friendly. We will come here again sometime.

Lovely property Great location Beach is beautiful very close. Lots of amazing attractions nearby. Overall 4/5. Property Feedback: Lighting was inadequate too dim in all rooms. If owner is trying to be environmentally friendly then add a mesh curtain liner to all windows so one can enjoy the sun without risking privacy. Not just one. Person above moments was very loud. Ceilings have no sound barrier. Since we were notified very late there would be no cleaning provided unless after a week it's absolutely necessary some cleaning products are provided besides a broom and dish soap for both kitchen & bathrooms. The dish sponge was old. Should be tossed. There was no curtains in kitchen window. The 8pm Visitors policy is over the top as people are grown and should be able to have the luxury
