20 South Battery

Our 2nd time staying at 20 South Battery and it was just as amazing as we remember! The staff is the most accommodating and have a passion for hospitality and it shows. The property is a great space to enjoy all of Charleston. We plan to stay again the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend for a special stay.

20 South Battery was absolutely amazing and the service was exceptional! The place is stunning and can’t beat the location. Abigail was a delight as was everyone else.. including Penelope the adorable and friendly pup! The only reason for the 4 star on the room was because we went at an odd time during extreme cold and during a snowstorm. Due to the extreme conditions, there was a draft of cold air coming thru the bathroom window and we could never get it warm in there. I think during normal conditions it would have been fine. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay again.

A very lovely experience!! The staff was so courteous and helpful and super friendly! The Carriage House rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were very tasty.|The first come, first serve parking out on the street worked out just fine as well. ||The B&B is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Be sure to get the personal tour from a staff member and read up on the history. Also make sure to go to the 4th floor to see the views!

Staying at this beautiful, historic house felt like we were staying in a place all to ourselves. The bedroom was huge and comfortable. Staff was very friendly, with great communication about check in. Staff also gave a tour of the historic house. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and served in the beautiful dining room. If you want a historic experience, definitely stay here!

My wife and I stayed in the carriage house mid November. It was great! Everything was as described. Clean comfortable rooms and the house was so cool to explore and enjoy. It's in a quiet area, which was super nice at night, but means you'll be walking half a mile into town. Breakfast was good (coffee too) and Abigail was a great host. I can't imagine the amount of maintenance that house requires, but I understand the pricing now.
