Yosemite View Lodge

Here's the story: Some friends and I drove out to visit Yosemite from Las Vegas. I've been coming out here for 4 years now and always stay in Oakhurst for it's price point in lodging. It's great until you really consider the travel time to get to the park, hike all day, and drive back to town. I wanted to try something different so I found this sweet gem! My friends and I split the cost of this place, and safe to say we all had a very pleasant time! It's only 20 to 30 mins away from the park, has awesome amenities, and some perfect rooms! Location! This hotel is 2 miles from a park entrance. Room was clean and lovely. We got a riverview room with balcony, and it was a great view. Our room had a jacuzzi which was nice. There was a mini kitchen with fridge, microwave and stove burner. Pots, plates/bowls, silverware and cups were included. ||A few things- The heater unit in the room has a remote that we didn’t find until late- it was sitting on a wall box behind the curtain. Also the onsite restaurant is overpriced with middling food. Better to grab groceries and cook in the unit.

The bathroom has a smell when first walk in, but it disappeared next morning. Nice bed and bedding, but it’s time to replace the pillows. Nice housekeeping and great game room. Good restaurant, too! We had a great time staying there!

Good location and price / quality ratio! 2 miles driving to the park entrance is not a problem at all as you can stop by with Elephant Rocks and Merced River on the way. Make sure you book the river view balcony room if possible as it is breathtaking every morning. We are lucky to visit Yosemite during the snow storm for rare snowy landscapes views. The room heater is great and the River Restaurant next to our room is just a paradise after whole day snow Trekking in the park - Apple pie and chicken wings are the hidden gems. Grocery shop has everything we need, and the staffs are all super friendly. We definitely will book here again instead of any lodge inside the park.

# YVL. This is the second time we stayed here for Thanksgiving. It has spacious rooms with kitchenette overlooking the enchanting Merced with breathtaking views . The rooms have big patios facing the river making it perfect for morning coffee. The bathroom has a jacuzzi. The lodge has a full fledged restaurant, a pizza place, a convenience store and a gift shop. I just bought some unique hand crafted holiday ornaments. It has a gaming room and a heated pool. What more can you ask for and all that for an affordable price. I’m in love with this place.
