Yellow Diamond Inn

Great place to stay if you're visiting Crater of Diamonds State park! Its only a 5 min drive to the park. The beds are comfortable and allow you to get a nice sleep before you go dig for diamonds all day! I spoke with Cindy a few times who was extremely helpful and kind. She herself is a gem! We will definitely stay here again in the future!

My father and I stayed here this past weekend and we absolutely LOVED it. The hospitality of employees was so great. They were very welcoming and kind. They made check in and check out SUPER easy. At one point before we arrived we had connection issues trying to call them, but they did not stop trying to call me back, which I thought was so kind. The room was super clean and super cute. We were surprised by the size of the mini fridge, it was on the bigger side. And we love that they have amenities like the sluice, playground, really clean pool and the grill. Next time we plan to do a mini grocery shop since there's decent space in the fridge and use the grill. Can't wait to come back!

Older inn but clean and bug free. I rented the deluxe room with 3 full beds. Nice set up and confutable beds. Warning: call the inn directly for a room, I went through a number I thought was them and got over charged by an underhanded company not affiliated with Yellow Diamond inn. Hotel staff (Cindy) was a sweetheart and so helpful. I got the company I reserved the room through to reimburse $90. Cindy felt so bad about the reservation that she went out of her way to make us comfortable. Nicest place and people we met in the area.

The motel had a mattress that should have been replaced 30 years ago. The bedding was not much better. The only toiletries supplied was a tiny soap that broke when opening. Not a hanger etc. only a fly swatter which you “did” need. The water in the shower dripped non stop. The only renovation was the wood flooring… everything else is from 1950 at the newest. The only place to put your suitcase was beside the bed on the floor. I would NOT stay there.

Fantastic little hotel. Has everything one needs. Glad we stayed there. Would stay again. Close to the diamond mine. Easy access. Clean. Affordable. Very well maintained and lots of personal touches to show the owners care.
