Miners' Camping

This was by far the dirtiest and most unsafe place I have ever nearly stayed at. When booking I was understanding that it would be like camping, no frills just a place to sleep safely at night. When I arrived the cabin wasn't cleaned, mold and mildew in the air of the cabin, stains on the bed, and tape covering multiple gaps to outside. Even with all this I was prepared to do some cleaning and sleep on the floor in a sleeping bag just to enjoy the state park. But while on the porch catching my breath a lady came from the woods behind the cabin and accused me of stealing a powerbank from where she had plugged it in infront of the cabin. I explained I hadn't seen it when I pulled in but would turn it in if I found it. I then drove back to the nearby town to get food. When I came back maybe 3

Don't trust the lady who you pay. Plugged in a charger pack and she took it saying because I was in the primitive area I couldn't plug anything in to any outlet 😡😡😡! I will not be coming back to this park again because of her.

I recently stayed at this cabin and had a wonderful experience. I completely understand that this is a camping area and not a 5-star hotel, and with that in mind, I truly appreciate the amazing job the staff is doing. The team here goes above and beyond to provide visitors with helpful information and great tips to make the most of their stay. The place is simple but very nice, and it’s important to know you should bring your own pillows and blankets to be comfortable during your stay. What really made the difference for us was the warm and kind people working here—they made our experience not just enjoyable, but outstanding. If you’re looking for a pleasant camping-style stay with genuinely friendly service, this is definitely a great choice!

2 forty year old adults, 1 four year old, and a dog. We stayed 2 nights in the 2 bdrm cabin. It has wifi, TV with things to watch comfy couch and 2 gliders, 2 beds that were adequate. There are some basic kitchen supplies and a grill if you want to save money and cook. Bring your own towels, napkins, ppr towels as those are not provided. Fire ring out back with a nice creek. You can tell people have RV's there full time, they are friendly enough. We will definitely rent it again next time we come down. It's nothing fantastic, but it is cozy and safe.

Solo traveler, good lighting, water access almost in my campground, bathhouse a short walk, cheaper than staying in the park, close to places to eat, the electric at my site worked well and was able to just plug in an extension cord. Only drawback that kept this from 5stars was the bathhouse being creepy. Overall I felt safe here and slept well. Thank you
