Wool Inn

The Wool Inn is an awesome place to stay in historic downtown Elkin, I stayed in the Blue Ridge Suite and was blown away upon entering. It feels much more like an upscale apartment than just a hotel room. The exposed brick and high ceilings give it a great vibe. Highly recommend!! And thank you to Patti for finding items I had forgotten and helping to make sure I got them back! Would stay here again!

I was looking for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite in the heart of downtown Elkin for a family get away. After doing a little searching I came across the Wool Inn. Reviews were hard to find but I took a chance and booked the Blue Ridge suite hoping not to be disappointed and I wasn’t. It far exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival I met the owner, Gunner, and the inn keeper, Patti. They were so personable and gave me some history of the building. Two suites were recently constructed above their retail store and they are impressive! Our suite had all the modern amenities you could want and still had the historic character of the building they strived to maintain. Located in the NC foothills small town of Elkin, the brand new Wool Inn is a wonderful blend of luxury and modern conveniences housed in a historic building with all its bygone era charm. Checkin was flawless, the hospitality exceeded our expectations. Our Blue Ridge suite was both beautiful and comfortable; we loved the upscale furnishings, spacious baths, hotel quality linens and well stocked kitchen- the complimentary fresh muffins were delicious! We appreciated the attention to decor details; we especially enjoyed viewing the local artwork and reading about the town’s history. The downstairs Mercantile shop is a treat with local arts and crafts, don’t miss it. Walk to the Reeves Theatre for a musical evening then slide over to Royalls for a fruit sonker or maybe some s’mores lava cake-

The owners of Wool Inn have created a wonderful blend of luxury and modern conveniences in a building rich with historical significance to the town of Elkin. Our Blue Ridge suite was both beautiful and comfortable; we loved the upscale furnishings, spacious baths, hotel quality linens and well stocked kitchen- the complimentary fresh muffins were delicious! We appreciated the attention to details and we especially enjoyed the local artwork. The location was perfect for shopping, entertainment and dining; we never had to move our car unless we ventured out of town. Elkin is vibrant and charming and so are its townspeople, we felt very welcome everywhere we visited. Truly a memorable time and we hope to return soon.

Our daughter and her fiancée joined us in Elkin, North Carolina for an overnight stay. |The Wool Inn was absolutely immaculate and perfect in every way. The kitchen was So well stocked and beautiful interior. Definitely add this town and property to your list !
