If you’ve ever dreamed of living in a remote mountain cabin, Woody Creek will give you a taste of that kind of life. Our family of four stayed for three nights and loved every minute! We’re seasoned backpackers so having the luxury of heat and tables and real beds was nice. The cabin was clean and well stocked with most everything needed to live warm and comfortably. You’ll realize just how little “stuff” you need to not only survive but thrive in the wilderness. The solar lighting, which looked like a more recent addition, is a great amenity for after dark and provided ample light for cooking and playing games. We decided to filter water from the spring, but it probably wasn’t necessary. Although we took sleeping bags we didn’t really need them because the wood stove kept the cabin warm
We hiked back into a remote kake 5 miles from the cabin...excellent fishing
