Grizzly Lodge

Very confused why this place is so highly rated. The lodge was very outdated and had items all over the property like it was someones scrap yard. The room was very outdated, everything is from the 50’s and not in a good way. Sheets had stains on it, bathroom visible mold and smelled like mold. Worst in the morning, go to take a shower had absolutely no hot water!!! We are not particular but come on these are the basics for a hotel. We were going to the office in the morning to mention issues but no one was there. We paid $190 for this and it would be better to stay at a motel! Worst yet the following day after we called hotels.com they refuse to refund! Great place for the price and I will stay there again. Quaint offerings and the room was exceptionally clean. Loved sitting outside in the evening and listening to the rain fall and the thunder in the trees. Checked in before the 3 p.m. time but they allowed us into the room. Easiest check-in and check-out I have ever had. Good base for exploring the area and Yellowstone without being gouged for room prices.

Ashley and Josh were super nice! We got here after dark they told us all the places to eat close by and they have a bonfire just about every night. They chatted with us for about 20 minutes after checking in and told us about the owners and the very harsh winters here, was super cool! Coming from Kansas City, MO. It’s very different 😂 Very cozy place and an amazing price! Very close to Lamar valley and very cute area. Would definitely stay here again it was amazing!

We spent the weekend here for a wedding that was near by. The owner of this property was absolutely amazing. We needed several items to prep for the wedding that we had not brought with us. He loaned us his person pots and cutlery to allow us to cook in our cabin. He made to entire stay amazing and we would absolutely return to this location.

We stopped at the Grizzly Lodge during our trip to Yellowstone. Caretaker was very nice & friendly. He started a fire so that everybody could sit by the fire. We met some other people that were staying there. Very family friendly!
