WoodSpring Suites Topeka

Room was very clean, bed very comfortable. A great night sleep as we traveled. Hallways were a little smelly, but easy to ignore that since the room was so clean. Also appreciated the full-size fridge, sink, and microwave.

The front desk lady was the nicest person, she was friendly and helpful. The battery in the room door lock gave out and wouldn't let us in our room, went to the front desk and the young lady had it fixed within minutes and with a smile! The room is nice and a pretty good value. There is a small kitchenette, but we didn't use it. The place is clean and quiet, in an out of the way location which is nice. I recommend it if you want a good price on a clean quiet room.

UPDATE: After being here for a few weeks, the true nature of management has come to light. I came back from a trip to a shower that did not work, I called the after hours number and was given a key to a room across the hall to shower. Fine, until I went into the room and it had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Gross. Maintenance, showed the next day and said it’s the regulator we will be by tomorrow. Today is the 4TH day no shower, my husband drives OTR and is gone for weeks, came home NO SHOWER. This morning I went to the office and asked if they could please fix the shower, I was cut off several times unable to fully explain the situation and was interrupted with “they will be by to day, say in your room and the plumber will be up” by the manager on duty 01/21/2026 11:00 AM. I

This is the worst hotel we have stayed in for Topeka. The website said a pool and breakfast was available. No pool, no breakfast, no place to sit and relax. A very low, uncomfortable toilet. The shower had a big hole around the controls and the shower head barely worked. The heater/AC didn't work well. We tried to open the window bit constant smokers prevented us from having fresh air. There was a strange smell in the hotel that made me almost throw up. The room had a full size bed instead of the queen we requested. There was a cook top but nothing else. No coffee pot, no dishes or pans and no utensils of any kind. Two towels and two washcloths. No kleenex. One bar of soap. No bible. Only one night stand on one side of the bed no place to put our suitcase to open. The bathroom vent didn't

The only thing that we liked about the hotel was the mattress was comfortable.The staff was not accommadating.. We got the room on line.Told them we wanted First floor, because I was going to use my wheel chair and,he said he only had third floor opening.The place stunk like dirty diapers. He assigned us to room 322 first.Well that room was not cleaned,no towels,the phone didn't work.The bed was dirty even the bedskirt.So we went back to the office.He said,oh we don't clean up every day.The room we got was a little cleaner,but was nothing to write home about. They said if we wanted more towels.We would have to pay for them. Also did you know there's not even a coffee pot in the room!! No soap for the shower,no shampoo or conditioner. Just one very small bar of soap on the bathroom sink.
