Super 8 by Wyndham Topeka at Forbes Landing

Horrible service, dusty dirty rooms, and even got charged $250 for my room apparently not being clean even though we sent many bags of trash down and never got our rooms serviced once, never got new towels sent to our room or new sheets over the span of almost 2 weeks. But have the audacity to charge $250 for deep cleaning carpet even though I got confirmation there was no stains and it was just because there was fast food bags on the ground. I’ve stayed in countless hotels for work and never got a cleaning fee. They are deep cleaning carpets despite no stains, a scam for money they went into my account and charged $150 more without permission than the original deposit. Overall an extremely poorly ran business.

I can't write a review. We booked a room and received phone call from the hotel. They stated that they canceled our room because they don't rent to local people. |My husband and I were speechless!!!|Anyone ever heard of this?

Positive: The hotel was in a good location for our continued travel from Nebraska to Texas. Negative: There were smoking smells in the first room offered. We were moved to another which also smelled slightly smokey. For a supposed nonsmoking hotel, it was obvious that they were not enforcing that policy. This caused significant allergy problems.

This was the 3rd motel during our round trip from CO to OH. After looking at reviews for several motels in the area, this was the ONLY one that did not mention a bed bug issue. It was a little out of the way from I-70 but so worth it. Front desk was very nice, lobby was nice and clean, halls were clean, room was clean, warm and comfortable 🎉 It was also quiet!! Water pressure was great and hot water was endless!!! Pet friendly and love that she gave us a room very near an exit door for potty time ❤️ Will definitely become our stop when we are going through KS.

I booked online, for two nights, The wall mount AC/heater worked fine kept the room warm. The lighting was good, the desk / table a little small to do any kind of computer work on but overall quiet and comfortable. it was mentioned that the beds can be a little hard and that is true but I've always slept on firm mattresses so I had no issues. I did not interact with the staff, I did not utilize the breakfast.
