WoodSpring Suites College Station

It was quiet and peaceful for the first couple of days. Then I started seeing the police there constantly for fights, customer issues. And you would smell weed in the elevator and in the hallways. I mentioned it to the manager and nothing was ever done about it. Then the people above us would be up ALL NIGHT stomping, moving furniture around. Found out that it was a lady with 3 young kids. But still made NO sense for them to be up ALL night. I mentioned it to the manager and just like the weed issue nothing was said or done about it. And don't even get me started on the roaches OMG great big tree roaches and smaller ones. The facility was good, not excellent. Good value for the money. I stayed several weeks and paid weekly. The tax refund was well handled. The resigning every week was clumsy as I departed at 6 AM and returned after 5 PM. Going to the front desk every week after a day in the field was unnecessary and very inconvenient. The re is no toilet brush so between room cleaning the toilet get very dirty and smelly. There is no broom or dust mop. Overall I felt I received good value for the cost. I am deeply disappointed and honestly shocked by my experience with Woodspring Suites in College Station, TX. I had a confirmed reservation and even informed the hotel ahead of time that I would be arriving late. Despite this, when I showed up after 9 PM—exhausted and just wanting to check in—I was told my reservation had been cancelled without a single warning or notification. Standing there in the middle of the night, realizing I suddenly had no place to stay, was incredibly stressful. No apology, no explanation, no attempt to make things right. I was completely left on my own. Because of this careless and unprofessional handling, I spent hours trying to find another room, only to discover everything nearby was booked. Don’t stay here. The room was okay. It was essentially clean. But, they didn’t put any soap or shampoo in the room . By the time we noticed at 10:15, there was no one in sight to provide these things. This is super simple. If they’re going to leave the property at 10, you need to have a way for those staying here to get things they need and that you should provide. It also took almost 30 minutes to get checked in with only one person in front of me. Just outrageous. It’s like today was their first day to run a hotel.

Unfortunately, I was fooled by the pictures online. When needing a last minute hotel room, and reviewing the website, i thought man, what an opportunity. When arriving at 4pm to check in on Saturday, Dec 20th... there was no one at the desk. You had to figure out how to call someone, using your cell phone. Check in was rather painless, but the clerk gave no direction on where to find the elevator, room, etc. and she disappeared to the back room. When reentering with luggage, the smell was a bit unpleasant. Weed and just a general smell of sourness hits you. Upon entering the elevator, it looked like no one had vacuumed the floor in months.
