Woodlands Inn & Suites

This small family owned hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. I just finished a 3 night stay and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The group I was with were able to use the lounge area for gathering and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The only downside was the breakfast as there wasn’t much to choose from. However, due to the affordable price of the rooms, breakfast wasn’t a top priority for me.

As one of the other posts states, you get what you pay for. Well, maybe even less. I reserved online Sunday morning and received confirmation that my dog was $20 extra as it stated on the web. Upon arrival that evening, I was told it was $30. I was too tired to argue and assumed it would have been fixed. Bill came the next day with extra $10. I sent an email with my confirmation and 3 weeks later still no response or refund. On top of that, the rooms are very 1970’s still. At least everything was not green. The toilet was too small. The lock on the door was a regular metal key, not a deadbolt, regular lock that I confirmed I could bypass within seconds. Very nice place to stay, with comfortable bed, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent staff( I think the couple were the owners). Breakfast tan out of coffee at 0845 and I let the manager know, and in around 10 minutes there was a knock at my door. He had made a fresh pot n came down to my room to fill our cups!( who does that kind of service anymore?)|Will stay here again when back in Taylor Co.

This was a good value hotel.. bed was so so not too soft not used to that pillows were kind of hard weird kind of square not soft.. They do have DirecTV now but a little TV little refrigerator.. Good location clean which is the most important part.. pretty outdated but good location and the staff is Nice. Like other reviews breakfast is very limited milk OJ cereal waffles bagels.. No proteins, like eggs, ham, sausage, bacon nothing like that, no fruit,no bread either... I was on a work trip so it was okay But don't think the wife would like this place... They still have the old school keys haven't seen that in a while...
