Woodland Country Lodge

This place needs an upgrade on almost everything. It was probably top of the line in the 90s but it's getting a bit run down and it shows. Breakfast was a joke, literally nothing available even when it opened someone burnt a waffle so bad it had the entire lobby filled with the worst smelling smoke. I hope I never have the pleasure of staying there again.

Room was very comfortable. Smelled new. Pillows were firm. Surprise window seat to sit and look at the mountains. Close to Pikes Peak. Fridge and microwave in room. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. 10/10 would stay here again.

We booked two rooms here for a night. One room the bathroom light wouldn’t turn on so they moved us to another room( not a big deal). The second room had a sewage gas smell that was absolutely disgusting smelling so they moved us to another room too. Rooms were not super clean and we decided to not stay the night because we had little kids and if it really was sewage gas it is super unsafe to breath in. We kindly made them aware and told them we were leaving and that we would be requesting a refund since we were unable to stay the night. The staff said the manager was the only person able to process a refund but couldn’t be contacted unless you emailed them. I love this little hotel. It has the best view of Pikes Peak. No one should expect 5 star accommodations in Woodland Park. This place is perfect for a quiet weekend and a cozy vibe. I've stayed 4 times this year already.

Honestly, I enjoyed my stay there, but my roommate thought the beds were unbearable. I liked the fire pit outside and the view was amazing. Anthony was very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to help. Otherwise the bed was pretty uncomfortable. I told another attendant the ice machine was broken and she just rolled her eyes. The restaurant was closed. We didn’t realize there was no elevator and they placed us on the 2nd floor. It would’ve been nice to know.
