Wiseman Ridge

This was our second time staying at Wiseman Ridge and it was absolutely perfect. Last time we camped at site #1 and this time site #2. Both provided plenty of space and the views were spectacular. We saw deer in the morning and at dusk. The owner, Eric Chesson, recommended we drive up to Wiseman's View and it did not disappoint. We had incredible views of the LInville Gorge across from Hawksbill and Table Rock mountains. The campground is just a short distance from the Blue Ridge Parkway and LInville Winery as well.

We stayed at Wiseman Ridge the weekend after memorial day and had a beautiful site that felt very private. The owners worked with us when we had some date issues and everything went very smooth. We have a 28ft travel trailer and we had no problem fitting in our space at site #3. The campground was clean and well managed and one of the few campground we've been to where we actually had WiFi. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and appreciated Eric's recommendations and helpful directions on how to get to the site. We would absolutely stay here again. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, a great winery and a nice place to grab some good food and beer in a unique atmosphere.

Great camping. Stayed for 9 nights on site #2. We have been camping in Wyoming and Montana and these views were as spectacular ( at least for the East Coast ). Sitting on the ridge and can see down the valley including two large rock faces for at least 8 miles. WiFi was strong enough to stream two televisions. There is absolutely no light pollution. Quiet. Loved listening to the kadydids and crickets. Camped with 8 kids, fifth wheel, tent, four cars, and a volleyball net on our site. Great hiking nearby. Ate at two great restaurants. Celluci’s Italian in Pineola and the Tin Trout. Very good food at both. Tin Trout is one of those hidden gems and is very popular and reasonably priced but has gourmet cuisine. Both are within a 10-15 minute ride. Great service from great

The views were amazing! I had to read with that. We were in lot #1 but the way it's set up no matter which lot you're in you will get a good view. Loved that they had full hookup (power, water, & sewer). And we made good use of the campfire. Side note Wiseman's View is about 25 minutes from the camp ground. The sky is amazing and we were able to see Brown mountain lights (a set of mysterious lights that appears at night and have been studied by NASA but no one can explain them). After you park you will walk about 3 minutes to get to the Wisemans view overlook.

My SO & I stayed in our RV for 5 days and it was an excellent experience from beginning to end ! The host was mowing and doing upkeep when we arrived and was very welcoming and helpful !! It was Clean, great Space and quiet! We enjoyed the beautiful stars and moon ! There was no issue with getting up the driveway /hill. We were able to enjoy many hikes/caverns and restaurants all within 30 min :) Highly recommend staying here
