Winter Clove Inn

Our daughter's wedding was held at Winter Clove Inn this past Saturday. Many guests commented on how much they loved the venue! The Inn, tucked in the Catskill mountains, is a beautiful place. On the premises, there is a bowling alley, an inside and outside swimming pool, miles of hiking available, and a beautiful waterfall within a two-minutes’ walk. The food was wonderful, the rooms were very comfortable and the service was outstanding. Many thanks to the owner Lenore and her family, and every staff member who made our event such a great success.

We just spent Thanksgiving at Winter Clove. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We came with our 3 kids 11, 8, 8. The meals were very good and filling. The Thanksgiving meal was outstanding! I was so happy with everything. This is certainly a rustic establishment but ultimately it added to the charm! My kids loved the bowling, bon fire, pool and all the board games they could enjoy! Our kids begged to stay another night. We'll be back!

I know many people are now looking to find The Perfect Vibe - aka Brooklyn in The Woods. And I have stayed at and enjoyed places like that. But Winter Clove is way better, IMHO, because it is not Insta and it is not Vibe. It is Authentic Catskills in the very best and rarest way. It is an old school family resort and it feels like visiting your family - rooms are not chi-chi, but they are comfortable and cozy, with antique furniture and handmade quilts. The lounges are inviting and lived in and meant for actually lounging with others. There are board games and bonfires and gorgeous hiking trails across hundreds of acres. I came here as a small child and we returned this summer to celebrate my dad’s 70th. We had a wonderful time. The staff were kind, rooms comfortable, the food was tasty and filling. The historic building and one hundred years of being run by the same family makes for a one-of-a-kind experience. The bowling alley was tons of fun. We will definitely be back.
