Windward Shores Ocean Resort

Stayed here in September for a beautiful weekend for our moms 60th birthday celebration. We had such a wonderful time. It was end of September so it was nice and quiet. Pool and beach were stunning and quiet. The unit we stayed in were clean. You're close enough to the town of Montauk but far away to enjoy the peach and quiet which is what we prefer. Can't wait to take my daughters back and stay again.

This is our second time staying at Windward Shores. The beach is beautiful and quiet, and the outside is landscaped well. The pool area also looked inviting. However, if cleanliness and a modernized and updated space is where you are looking to stay, this might not be the place for you. ||We like the corner, top floor location because of the view. Unfortunately, my husband and I will not be returning. First, it needs updating. However, the big issues were with the maintenance and cleanliness of the place. Screens on sliding doors were ripped, cushions on indoor living room area chairs ripped, crumbs left in the corners of the kitchen, and hair on both bathroom floors and in shower. Another beautiful time away at Windward Shores. We cannot say enough wonderful things about the guest front desk people, especially Maishe. A few check in room bumps and they were addressed straight away. The beach set up guys, especially John, always so helpful and smiling while it reached 100 degrees with sand as hot as coals, ps thank you for storing our chair. Pool was clean and perfect. The stars at night seem so close, almost touchable at this property, amazing. Landscaping so natural, and a cool breeze day and night. Few points to mention, update all the rooms when possible, some noisy appliances are old and clash with the oceans relaxing sounds. We know, owners of each have say so. But it's time. Visited in the winter. This Place definitely could you some attention to detail. Does not seem like they take care of the place much in the winter.

I came out to Montauk just for a night and booked a stay at Windward Shores. It is the middle of winter and raining but the amenities were excellent for a nice day(tennis courts, pool and private beach). The room I stayed in had views of the ocean and a 2 tiered room (2 bedrooms: one upstairs accessible by a spiral staircase and a downstairs bedroom) with bathrooms on both levels. The interior is very beautifully decorated and the kitchen is a big bonus if you have a family and want to cook. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. I can’t wait to go back in nicer weather.
