Ocean Colony Beach and Tennis Club

The room we stayed in smelt very strongly of mold, as soon as we arrived. It was also grimy and felt extremely outdated. |Despite the booking being for 5 people, there were only 3 towels. We did ask at the reception, and they delivered more towels and some incense for the room. Obviously this did little to freshen the mold stench and made us feel very uncomfortable. |The beds were not set up for more than 4 people, despite the booking being for more. My husband had to sleep on a grimy sofa, without any blanket or bedding. This is totally unacceptable. |Although the beach is nice and there is a pool and tennis court, this does not make up for substandard rooms that are very expensive. |We will not be staying again.

I was really hopeful for my stay at Ocean Colony, having stayed in the area the past two years, but I'll never return. From the jump, management was beyond rude, and this continued through our stay. Our group of six was placed next to a newborn baby during a busy holiday weekend, despite management knowing our size in advance a clear case of poor planning. Unsurprisingly, we received a noise complaint from the father, who verbally assaulted my friend and screamed his held off at her. The next day, management threatened to kick us out if we were loud again, even though we apologized and corrected our behavior immediately. Do not come here if you want to have an enjoyable vacation. The staff is very untrained and not welcoming in the slightest. We were berated by other guests and management did nothing to help out. When simply asking where to take out our trash you would’ve thought we asked the manager to recite 1000 numbers of pi. We will never be returning here and I highly suggest you take your business to Windward shores next door who has never failed us. This place SUCKS!

We had a great stay at Ocean Colony. Our room was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. Shout out to Dean, who found out for me what type of bed it was. The beach was so beautiful and not crowded at all. The pool was great also. Very close to Montauk and East Hampton. We brought our bikes but didn't feel comfortable riding on the road, even with the shoulders. Will hopefully be back soon!

As long-time guests of Ocean Colony Beach Resort (10+ years), we’re deeply saddened to see the drastic decline in service quality during our stay this summer. Despite the rising room rates and additional fees, the service we once valued has deteriorated significantly. We were promised daily housekeeping services but received none of them—no vacuuming, no regular towel replacements, and no garbage removal. While clean towels were provided upon request, they were not replaced proactively, which was a significant departure from the usual service.|What’s even more disappointing is the management’s complete lack of response.
