Windermere on the Beach

My wife and I called it grandmas house. The room was super cozy in an old fashioned way. But, a queen is the bed we got with 2 twins upstairs. We had the poodle who promptly kicked me out of the little queen bed making me sleep upstairs at 150 degrees. I really wish there was a king option. We laughed our way through figuring out all the light switches but we got it. I have never seen a shower that small outside of an RV so if your a biggie like me, or a shorty like my wife, be prepared to shower uncomfortable. The TV was built in the early 2000s and only 1 HDMI worked so I had to switch in and out my Roku with the cable. That's the only down points for us and none were a deal breaker. Other than that the wifi works great, the kitchen had usable and clean dishes, the pillows were aplenty,

Windermere in Bandon, Oregon has been around since 1936. All the rooms face the beach. And the walk to the beach is a very short distance. I have been coming here since the mid-1990's. The rooms are not fancy but the view makes up for this. For this trip we were in a newer building behind the office on the first floor. We also have a private patio. The room came with a small kitchenette and the most fabulous view of the ocean. We have stayed in different units over the years including one of the upstairs/downstairs units with friends.

A little paradise in Bandon, OR||We spent one night at Windermere on the Beach in Bandon, OR, and can highly recommend staying there.||The cottages are slightly elevated, facing Bandon Beach in the front row. All cottages/rooms have wonderful sea views.||In front of our cottage (two stories, with a well-equipped kitchen and three double beds) was a seating area with a fantastic sea view: be sure to enjoy the sunset. Direct beach access is available.||Parking was available directly in front of the cottage. This was a great place right on the beach. The service was great from Day 1 and continued thru the entire trip. The location couldn't have been better with a beautiful view of the beach from every room. There is a stairway to the beach that is easy to climb. The room was extremely clean. Carol at the front desk was amazing.

Amazing views, short walk to the ocean waves, homey rooms and feel. We snuggled in blankets and drank wine while enjoying the sunset on a nearly empty beach with a gorgeous sunset, a few horses and riders going by. Very clean and upkept buildings, grounds and rooms. Each room has its own balcony/patio with beach chairs to use with a fireplace in our room. Very reasonable prices. Delighted to sit and listen to the ocean waves and look out at the stars on our private little patio in our beach chairs. Friendly lady at the front desk offering danishes and coffee in the morning. We will most definitely be back the next time we come through.
