Wildoaks Campground and roadside cafe

We had stayed at Wild Oaks for years!! Great place for the whole family. Kids enjoyed the pool and playground. Breakfast was amazing both days! Bath and shower room very clean. The owners and other employees are always so helpful. Live music and a great dinner on Saturday night after a long float was exactly what we needed. This will be our campground FOREVER!!!

Just returned from our family's annual float/camping trip and wanted to share a review of how awesome this place is. If you're looking for a place with hard drinkers wearing beads after a float, this isn't the spot. But if you want a gorgeous spot to spend time with family and lots of activities (basketball, swimming pool, arcade, playground, movie night, etc) run by cool folks, this place is amazing.

An outstanding campground that is managed the way you would want your campground to be ran. The staff is wonderful to interact with; they are friendly, courteous and informative. The campground is always immaculate an well maintained. The owners take an active hands on approach to all activiites.||||Wild Oaks has live entertainment every Saturday night and also features an outstanding meal should you wish to eat before or during the music entertainment. Music is everywhere from country, soft rock, rock-n-roll etc. All good groups and if you can dance to all.||||The Cafe is great as well. Breakfast Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Food is great. We stayed during week for three days. Very clean and friendly people. We we're in a pop-up camper and had some trouble getting the trailer in stable position. Unlevel ground. The showers and restrooms are very clean. I would recommend it for a nice family setting. Met a gal with two daughters that were really friendly. We took two dogs and they have a small dog run. We didn't get to enjoy the cafe as it is only open on weekends. We did eat there on our last visit to Bennett Springs and the food is very good. Weekends they also have a movie on Friday and a band on Saturday. We went during the week and nice quiet area then. Close to Bennett Springs State Park. I think you will really enjoy staying there.

I try to make it here at least once a year from iowa, last year I was on a time crunch with work schedule and all, I absolutely love the atmosphere of this campground, I try to have my family get to gethers here with a peaceful little hotdog an burger cook out over a camp fire I hope to be able to come here for many more years to come 😊
