Wigwam Motel

I stayed here last week for 1 night due to water issues at my place. I was the only person there so it was very quiet. The room was clean. It was a good size and had a second sink and kitchen counter to prep food. Snow prevented me from seeing the outside amenities. The price was reasonable. I would stay here again.

We have stayed here off/on for >20 years but not since the current owner re-opened. (It was closed about 5 years). We stopped by on 2 different occasions on 2 different dates, but no one was around... We did take a Business card and did end up staying just one night. The rooms are pretty much the same as they have been since our first visit in about 1992. It is clean and cute and has had additions, but I think the current Owner could use a Front desk person who isn't also the Maintenance person.... ||The Beds were comfortable and room was adequate. Shower head, while quite small, had adequate water pressure and water was clean and hot. Plenty of towels were provided and our room had a Medium sized Fridge and Microwave. We have stayed at Wigwam a number of times as it was recommended to us by friends as being clean and reasonable priced. On this trip, we found it had new owners again and the quality of the motel has gone seriously downhill. Our room was not the cleanest, had a musty odor and the sinks and toilet were stained from hard water. The outdoor fire pit was not there anymore. No donuts or rolls were available for a quick bite to eat in the morning. Really glad we only stayed 1 night. Wigwam has lost our business.

We checked in at 5pm but entered the room around 8pm. First thing I noticed was a dirty sink. Obviously not cleaned, even someone's hairs lingering in/on basin as well as the toilet seat. Not a restful night sleep, as fear of filth lingered in my brain. We booked two nights. Up early on day two and returned early evening to find the room had not been touched...no fresh linens or anything else. Granted, we were in a pet friendly room, nonetheless this doesn't mean we should be put in unsanitary conditions. We took our belongings, returned the key and opted NOT to stay another night. Still charged the same rate, plus pet fee, for our stay in their dirty room. Second worst pet friendly room I've ever stayed in.

We used the campground out back. Had electricity so we were happy. Very clean porta-potty all weekend long. The staff are friendly and always say hello when they see you. 🫶 cute little beach area and fishing spot out back. We did get to peek at the rooms.. they were clean and well kept, good water pressure inside. The location has a great little patio and grill. Cute little gazebo with a little propane fire pit, as well. We will definitely be visiting again next year. Conveniently located across from the Pickled Loon Saloon and the Little Emily Lake Park & ATV Trails.
