Frank's Resort

Rustic cabins with modern facilities including cable TV. Located on Ruth Lake you are afforded the opportunity to fish and enjoy this wonderful location at a low rate where others have spent millions to own. Boats and pontoon are available for rental which made it convenient and avoided the hassle of hauling one up.

While our trip to Ruth Lake was not one of leisure (family emergency), our stay at Frank's Resort (aka: Frank's) was pleasant. Remember to bring your own towels etc as hotel type amenities are not provided. However, there was a decent kitchen with a full fridge and microwave. There were three bedrooms and a nice size living space with cable which was a nice "get away" from the stress of the event. Plenty of blankets and pillows were provided but the bed we slept in was a little hard for my liking (personal preference). The owners are on site but we rarely saw them.

The cabins are always clean and cozy. The owners at the resort are friendly and helpful if you have any questions or concerns about your stay there. This is one of the only places where you can rent a boat or pontoon at a very affordable price. The water in Ruth Lake is incredibly clear and the fishing does not disappoint. If you haven’t heard of this place it is likely because the people who stay for a week at a time at this resort return year after year. This resort does not disappoint. The location is only a block away from Sweets N Such ice cream and gift shop. We usually take daily walks there for our afternoon ice cream. Our family has been coming to Frank's Resort for 11 years and we look forward to our vacation on Ruth Lake every year! The cabins are modern, comfortable, and the property has a great fire pit and different levels offering beautiful views. There is a small beach on the lakefront and plenty of space to park a boat! The fishing is great for pan fish (sunnies, bass, crappies) and northerns as well. VERY close walk to the grocery store and Sweets and Such with the best ice cream in town!

Great place with that rustic Minnesota feel. The cabins are well kept and theres a beautiful lake and great fishing. Wonderful place to get away from it all. Leave your phone at home and enjoy the outdoors!
