Wiffy Bog Farm Bed and Breakfast

I stayed 1 night at Wiffy Bog when I met some friends for skiing at Elk. My daughter and I stayed and our room had a king bed and a twin. The beds were so comfy and we slept well. Valerie was so kind and there was hot chocolate and buttered popcorn when we arrived in the afternoon - perfect! The breakfast the next morning was hearty and delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

We have been to Wiffy Bog for 3 consecutive years as a group of 10-14 for a short weekend. We love the Place, the owners are very accommodating to our needs, and we always have a fabulous time. The food and breakfasts are EXCELLENT, plus there is always a fresh snack when we come in from skiing - popcorn and hot chocolate. We love the playroom in the basement, which has games, pool table and a roaring log fire. The kitchen facilities are excellent if you are staying in the main house. We take food to make evening meals, and use the kitchen every night. The farm houses which attach the main house are also excellent, although we havent stayed there - we like the main house too much! The bedrooms are extremely clean, the beds very comfortable, and Patti the housekeeper keeps it all spotless.

We stayed in the farmhouse on the property, not the main house. It had its own kitchen and 2 bedrooms and a living room with a sleep sofa. It was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and all you could eat. The kids (10 & 6 at the time) enjoyed coming to the main house in the evening to hang out in the basement and play pool. The owners were pleasant and accomodating. It was a great location for skiing at Elk Mountain. There was a small general store down the street if you needed to buy anything.

Really enjoyed our stay at Wiffy Bog B & B - gracious hospitality, clean and comfortable rooms, quaint setting, really close to Elk Mountain as well as only half an hour from great shopping in Honesdale, for those who do not ski. Beautifully scenic country drive around the area or out to Carbondale/Honesdale. Price of your room/suite includes daily, hot country breakfast and if you need supplies for cooking in the kitchen at the Guest House or guest kitchen in the main house, they are readily available at the corner store/gas station, which is also owned by the same proprietors. There is also a large grocery store in Carbondale, which is 15 minutes from Wiffy Bog. Several good restaurants close by for dinner in either Carbondale or close to Elk Mountain. Valerie and Jim provide a terrific experience with their B & B! Comfortable rooms with A/C, delicious breakfasts, coffee and iced tea throughout the day, and popcorn as a snack in the evenings! There is a guest kitchen downstairs which is very convenient. Lots of space to enjoy - there's even a game room with a pool table downstairs! It worked very well for our music retreat. I highly recommend Wiffy Bog!
