We stayed in our RV here for a month. It was such a nice and quiet place. We had no issues pulling the RV through to park. We had enough space to park 2 vehicles as well. Even with the top part almost full. You can see the stars at night with the low light pollution, and walk around and enjoy the area. It's very serene. The owners were wonderful and very helpful with any thing we needed. It is a great location. I highly recommend this park if you are in the area.
We spent 4 nights there in June because our go-to campground was full. We chose White River Campground & Cabins because of their good reviews. Unfortunately, our stay could not be highly rated. To begin with, we had a terrible time trying to park our camper. As the picture shows, each campsite was perpendicular to the narrow road! That meant we had to back from directly across our campsite. Not easy when the opposite campsite is occupied! The website mentions over and over about not driving on the grass. This is impossible when the campsite driveway is at a 90 degree angle! Next, the grass had not been mowed in several days. Granted, there had been rainy weather earlier, but our campsite was not mowed the entire time we were there. Wifi was spotty. The bathhouse was accessible only by code
The perfect location, beautiful views and a reminder of how ridiculous private campgrounds can be. My husband and I are mostly CoE or state park campers but have made an exception for White River Campground 4 years in a row now. Sadly, this will be the last time we will stay there and I’ll briefly explain why. The owners and their rules are absolutely exhausting and we are just done giving them our money. As a guest at their campground you will be constantly watched as they sit waiting for you to step an inch off their strict line of numerous rules. It honestly feels like you’re waiting for the wicked witch to swoop down and point her finger in your face and scold you like a child. This is the only campsite we stay at that the owners have an annoyingly constant presence your entire stay.
We were here for the 4th of July it’s a beautiful place but the rules are a bit ridiculous…..they turned our electricity off a day early and told us we had to leave a day early because the day you check in is counted as day 1 …not how many nights you spend it goes by days.. so we had to leave a day early… you can’t park in front of your RV you have to park in the parking lot that’s 3 rows away if your by the river… I went to the office a dozen times but it was always locked….i understand having rules but these are ridiculous .. for every bad review they receive they always say well I can’t find where you ever stayed with us…believe me we were there and we herd all the people upset ….everyone there was having a problem with the so called rules……pay close attention to how the owners react
