We stayed in apartment 1 and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Couldn’t fault it for cleanliness. Some bottles of water were provided along with some other basic amenities which were needed eg salt, pepper, shampoo, conditioner. We loved the fact that the freezer made its own ice :) ||It was very warm when we stayed, however the air conditioning units were very good. They are that good we turned them on a little while before we went to bed to cool the room down then when we actually went to bed we turned them off and just used the ceiling fans to keep the room cool. This place was unbelievable! So much wrong here, but I won’t bury the lead, the owner came unhinged and kicked us out! Otherwise, it’s a dump! We stayed in apartment 2–the ceilings are 6 feet. I’m not kidding—it’s for hobbits. You have to crouch to shower. And the pillows are terrible, and the kitchen cabinets smelled like urine. I would have stayed, but complained. There were very limited options when we booked, but it was astonishingly bad for the eye watering price of $500/night. But it gets crazier! We booked through Expedia and ticked the box that we were bringing a dog. There was no way to indicate we were bringing a 2nd dog, but they are both small and peaceful so I wasn’t concerned. I was scheduled to go to a wedding on Shelter Island, where prices seem to have no limit. In searching around I found the Historic White Blossom. The pictures looked good and the comparative price was great and it was less than 10 minutes to the ferry. When I arrived I was more than pleasantly pleased. Our apartment unit had a small foyer, a comfortable living room with sofa and arm chairs, two bedrooms, and a small kitchenette. Outride the front door was a patio with table and grill. The grounds around the property were simply beautiful. Nora greeted us on arrival and was very helpful and I had spoken and written to Mark several times and he was always positive and responsible. The Historic White Blossom was exactly as described, and what we expected. As one would imagine, the property from the 1800's is totally charming, a bit rustic, and still has every modern feature one needs. Our cabin had plenty of windows to let in the breeze, and hear the birds singing, plus good air conditioning. The beds were comfortable, the linens were lovely and there were plenty of towels. It easily accomodated four adults, but would also be great for a small family. The kitchen was well stocked. The gardens are especiallly lovely, with a patio or an evening drink and morning coffee that we certainly enjoyed. It was like going to a friends' home. Mono greeted us on our arrival to make sure to make sure we were settling in, and let us know she and Mark would be available if w
