Southold Beach Motel

This place is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are clean, the location is perfect, and the lovely people that work here are really, really nice! I'm out on the North and South Forks a few times a year. I will definitely be staying here! If you're looking for a quiet place to stay on the North Fork of Long Island, definitely stop by and see these nice people!

I am rating 5 stars in the context of what this is - a motel. This is not a 5 star hotel. This is a perfectly adequate as a base for adventuring on the North Fork. The room is comfortable. The fridge and kitchen sink are useful. The tables outside nice for morning sun with coffee. Although directly on the highway, it was quiet enough inside to sleep. I am very glad we chose this over a fancier accommodation or being in the town of Greenport. We enjoyed easy access to Southold coffee shops and restaurants. Wineries are abundant.

The reviews are correct and accurate. Colin is indeed a friendly and hands on manager. However I had an experience that I would like to share for future guests. When my wife and I arrived we were shown into room ten behind the main rooms. The room was small with a small window, a perfect place to hide a kidnap victim until the family paid the ransom. I called Colin and asked him if we could have one of the larger front rooms which I had thought we had paid for. . He said yes but they were 75 dollars more expensive. I had to say yes to his offer and ended up paying $150.00 for the two nights. I don’t know what happened but if anyone pays through Expedia or Bookings or Priceline or one of the other big companies that grab the page when you are looking for hotel , please be very care

This Motel is amazing! Very clean room. Great location near everything. Near all the wineries and shopping. Very little driving. Colin is an awesome person! We love him! The hospitality was amazing!❤️❤️

Great little motel right across from the town beach. Quiet, beautiful sunsets, exactly what we needed! Loved the charm of Southold, don't miss the fresh fish market, and great restaurants in the area.
