Hubby, 3 Pug Babies and myself are full time RVers in our Brinkley G 4000. We have been enjoying our rv spot at Whistlestop for almost 3 years now. We appreciate the peace and quiet of this park, as well as the short term and long term guests we’ve met and befriended. We jokingly call our pugs the “Rv Park Paw Patrol,” as they tirelessly patrol the park from their perch at the top of our couch, their favorites being the dog walkers, maintenance crew and the garbage truck. The manager crew is diligent with our Mail/packages, and keeps the park running smoothly and communicates well with us. They have recently put in a pickle ball court, and it looks nice, although we have not checked it out. However the pool and hot tub are clean and refreshing during the hot days, the clubhouse is always d
Definitely not recommended. First, the staff are great. However, Whistlestop is twice as expensive as the other 2 large RV parks close by. Their website states Luxury RV Park in Prescott, AZ, yet there is nothing luxury about Whistlestop RV Park, and they are located in Dewey, AZ not Prescott, in fact, they are about 15.5 miles from Prescott. As for amenities, they have a pool, Pickle Ball court, and the standard, restrooms and laundry. Supposedly, there are only 12 sites that accommodate a 3 axle RV, and they’re the smallest sites, nestled between AZ 69 and powerlines. Very noisy with all the traffic on AZ 69. Also, be sure to have a table if you want to cook or eat outside, as Whistlestop does not have any picnic tables for any of the sites. One of the other large RV parks close by, has
The Iconic Whistlestop RV Park is a wonderful place to stay. It’s very clean, organized and easy to navigate. The management staff is very easy to work with. The management staff give clear concise directions for entering and exiting the park. The management staff also give clear and concise directions with using all of the facilities provided. The Pickleball courts are a great addition to the many amenities at Whistlestop RV Park. During the spring & summer season when the pool and Jacuzzi are open, (check with the park office for specific dates- Yavapai County sets those dates for every outdoor pool in the area) we greatly enjoy both facilities. The pool is clean & well kept. The jacuzzi jets help to relax tired, sore, achy muscles from traveling the long dusty desert roads in Arizona. T
On site and management was very accommodating with my unreserved after hours arrival. The facilities were brand new, and the spaces are very wide. The roads are wide with flat concrete curbing. I would definitely stay here again, especially in the summer when the pool and hot tub are available.
I wish I didn’t have to write something like this, but I just want to be honest about our experience because our concerns have not been dealt with. If I had to choose one word to sum up our experience at Whistlestop “Luxury” RV Park, it would be disappointing. We arrived in Prescott Valley around Christmastime after recently moving out of state, and looked all over the quad-city area for a place to stay with no luck. While we’ve been VERY thankful to have a place to stay, we also feel that we’ve been mislead, wronged, and taken advantage of. Upon visiting the accommodations page on the website, there’s a whole list of amenities that aren’t yet finished, unbeknownst to us until after our payment and arrival. This is by far the most expensive of the many parks we looked into - unfortunately
