Whistle Stop Inn

What a lovely, quaint, friendly environment that Gladys the proprietor has created. She was informative, punctual and the perfect host. Her breakfasts were absolutely delicious, there were choices for everyone. Our room on the first floor was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. I highly recommend the Whistle Stop to anyone coming in that part of the state, very close to the Smokey Mountain Railway and National Park. Dillsboro is an adorable small town, perfect for an evening stroll or daytime shopping and enjoying a cool drink or meal by the river. ❤️❤️. Even the entrance driveway has personality. 😉

Gladys is so very pleasant, she went the extra mile for us in providing special dietary needs for breakfast. The rooms are pleasant, clean, adequately cooled. Ours was the Caboose, a bit small but nice. The location is ideal, easy walk to the many nice restaurants. Great for fishing access to Scott’s creek and the Tuck river. We would enjoy staying here again. The Mountains and rivers are super, and close to Sylva, enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The innkeeper, Gladys, is a wonderful host. The room was immaculate and beautifully presented. Breakfast was extremely good and we enjoyed sharing the table with other guests and conversing with them. The only negative, which is not a deal breaker, is that if steps are a concern for you, check with Gladys. I was offered help a couple of times, although I did not need it. She is most accommodating.

This was the first time I ever visited Dillsboro or stayed in a Bed and Breakfast and both experiences were perfect. Gladys greeted us when we arrived and we immediately felt like we had met a new best friend. I stayed in the Caboose Room and thoroughly enjoyed the electric fireplace. I loved looking at the claw tub but I didn't try it out....had visions of President Taft getting stuck in his tub in my head! A thoroughly enjoyable weekend trip! You need to go...

Gladys and Larry are Superb! We have traveled the country Staying in bed-and-breakfast, and the whistle stop is definitely one of our top B&Bs. They are very caring and truly enhance your stay in the area. The location of the whistle stop is prime. Our suite was very spacious and the breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be returning to the whistle stop thank you very much for your graciousness, Gladys and Larry.
