Wheat-State Motel

Horrible!!! Had to pay for our own toilet paper, room was filthy, had to go buy towels even. Was there for 2 weeks total and never even cleaned the room. The office is never open! I spent 50 bucks at Walmart plus had to go buy coffee because they are to cheap to even have a cheap coffee maker in the room. The mini blinds were so dirty that I put a towel over them so I didn't have to look at them. The floors were disgusting. Bed is a spring mattress so I bought an egg crate foam to out on it. Worst hotel ever. Wanted to go elsewhere but they have no refunds so I just dealt with it! Don't waste your money!!!!

The management staff at the Wheat State Motel go above and beyond to help the people that stay in their quaint hotel. It is not fancy, but it is well taken care of and serves the purpose of giving people a less expensive location than other hotels in town. Lesa Is kind, caring and hospitable and treats every person passing through with value and dignity. Thank you for all you do Lesa!!!

I stayed here for several months for work. Clean, spacious room. Everything worked like it should. Wonderful staff.

My stay was an emergency stay, my friend kicked me out and had no place to go. This motel was the closest, yes everything is out dated, I was taller then the shower, tiles and shower bar was falling apart, the toilet did flush right, the fig was off so it had mold on the door. But I was told that the motel was just bought by someone else and the just brought in the front desk lady to help get it cleaned up, it sounded like the owner plans on doing some updates. When I got to the hotel the door was locked and no one was around. I was about to leave and the lovely lady opened up and helped me out. I left my charger at my friends so she was nice enough to let me use hers, they were nice enough to help me find a ride to the airport the next day. Horrible time in Kansas but at least the employe

Quiet, clean, old school mentality motel. I stayed in a room for over 2 months and they were always very friendly and reliable as can be hoped for. Neat little throwback motel from days passed. 😊
