I camped in the primitive campground with a tent. So I can't talk about the rooms. The service was outstanding. Come and see Linda and Sandy and they will treat you well. I've never met a more friendly people as Sandy and Linda! Their pool is heated and it's very nice. I enjoyed my swims in the pool and in the lake! The sun rises are outstanding here! I took a swim in the lake and it's very warm at this point in the season.
Nice campground, rustic, woods and a nice lake to watch the sunset. People were nice, pool was good, please spray pool area for them ants. 🐜 Now I will say rvers you need to stop crabbing, if you can’t park your rig in tight areas, take lessons or stay home. Ps give the county a call and have them trim some trees on south shore. Happy travels folks. S
We loved this West Bay Resort and will return. Full service sites are in the woods and adequately spaced. The lake kayaking was among the best experiences ever! Beaver huts, clear water, green heron, and so much more. It was laundry time and the facilities were immaculate with large capacity machines at very reasonable cost. The beach was small but adequate and the heated pool was inviting. We didn't see the interior of the cabins but imagine that they are as pristine as the other camp facilities. Thanks to Linda and Sandy for the information about the area activities and restaurants. Also, be sure to stop in at the Pioneer Village for a full exposure to the logging industry, the CCC and the Belles.
The spaces were small, mine did not have a fire pit, and you get sand everywhere. But the location was amazing, they're right on a lake, and it was well priced with all the hookups. They do have a pool that was opened late June but when I went to use it late afternoon, it was closed for the day. The staff were nice and very helpful. Linda gave me many recommendations to do while there. If you need anything, just ask her.
This was a close to home campground for our first camping trip of the season (memorial weekend). Our site was small; we had to rebuild the firepit and clear away a lot of leaves for safety. Did not use the shower facilities nor went to the office/mini store they had. The heated pool was not available during our stay, but looked like it was a nice size. I was disappointed in the playground for our 2yr old. It was very limited, outdated and some equipment's safety was questionable. We did utilize the boat landing to launch our kayaks. It was adequate.
