Wattstull Inn

Stay here for a relaxing night when driving I-81. There aren't many mom and pop places like this anymore, so support them! Yes, things are old fashioned, but everything is clean and comfortable. I love parking outside my room door, no steps or elevators. There is a wonderful pool and hot tub with powerful jets that wouldn't be out of place at a hotel costing hundreds of dollars more. There are two great lounge charges outside your room under a covered porch great for relaxing and watching traffic go by with a nice mountain backdrop. It appears there is no more continental breakfast but they offer free coffee at the gas station down the hill. Tip: call to make your reservation and they may give you a cash price at a discount.

Very clean. Dog friendly. Great pool sand hot tub open 24hrs. Adarondak chairs in the patio... Also the Foot of the Mountain Cafe right down the hill is great. Are there both night and were able to take the dog. We rely enjoyed our stay.

My fiance stumbled upon this place as he was traveling down Interstate 81 from Pennsylvania. We decided to give it a shot a couple of weekends ago and came back again this weekend. It has been a great experience! Not fancy by any means but the rooms are clean, the owner is friendly and helpful, and the view is beautiful! It's like stepping back into a 1950s clean, well-maintained one-story Motor Lodge. There is a pool, which is closed for the season, and a hot tub which is still open. The view of the mountains is exquisite! They are dog friendly and have two rooms that allow dogs to stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This is a great place to stay, and we will stay here whenever travelling in this area. The Wattstull Inn is located on a hill, facing large foothills and Mount Purgatory. Out your window, or sitting in the comfortable chairs on the porch give relaxing, beautiful mountain views. Our room was large and very clean. They have tall ceilings, and one of those bathroom heat lamps on a timer. The carpet looked new. The beds were comfortable, with a large mirror on the wall opposite one of the beds, which we like. The room was dark and quiet at night. The swimming pool and hot tub are on the hill and have great views too. The breakfast was generous, with many, many choices. The hostess and staff were friendly and kind, and accommodating. The online experience was great and the reservation process

Very clean, modest rooms. Great view! And a reasonable sized outdoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast had a lot of grab and go prepackaged things, great if you're in a hurry. The restaurant at the bottom of the hill is a must stop.
