Wander Inn

Had an amazing time! Three generations of women, we stayed in Thelmas Garage, which was even better in person! Im looking forward to future stays and want to experience the different buildings/ rooms each time. The Junk Gypsy family and staff are above and beyond wonderful and let's not forget exploring all the amazing things they have to offer in the shop. Highly recommend.

It's always been a dream to be able to stay over at Wander Inn. I turned 60 (!) with 15 of my favorite people in the world last Saturday and Sunday with an Almost Famous themed weekend. We booked Crown and Star Houses. From the moment we arrived, (early) we were just going to drop off a cake so it wouldn't melt in the car, but the inn keepers team let us in early and told us all about how things work. It was Mark, Lisa and oh..was it Sandy? (I'm terrible with names!) They were so friendly we wanted them just to stay and join the party. They politely declined, but they were invited! The property is everything I had hoped it would be. Clean, vast, charming, beautiful, indulgent...I don't have enough words of joy to describe our stay. The Wander Inn has a great location to spend Round Top Antique Show or to just get away for some quiet time in the countryside. We love the outdoor spaces, back porch views of longhorns grazing and one of a kind, funky decor in each room. The bedding and bath products make it feel luxurious, while homemade biscuits at your door each morning make you feel at home. We love to shop the Junk Gypsy store right down the road and hang out on the lawn with vendors and food trucks during special events.

The Wander Inn is my favorite home away from home. Tastefully appointed rooms, generous community gathering spaces like the cowboy pools, the fire pit and the living rooms stocked with vinyl, books, games and coffee…it’s just so easy to check in and enjoy yourself. Sometimes I like to go “photo hunting” around the property, other times, I journal or just take in one of the sunrises or sunsets from the rocking chairs on the patio. But all in all, it’s a little slice of heaven and I love it here!

We stayed in the Gypsy Farmhouse and it was perfectly decorated, including rich colors, metallics, with soft ruffles and one fabulous copper tub. Looked forward to the delicious morning biscuits. Local shops had so many different options and there was wonderful food. Visited the Junk Gypsy store for some terrific items. Definitely planning to stay longer next visit. Everyone had a wonderful time!
