Walton Motel

We currently became homeless due to our apartment flooding and isnt liveable. Nick gave us a great offer for us to stay (me, the husband and 2 kids) bc we needed something urgently. The rooms were clean and comfy and super convenient ti still make it to schools and works! Thank you!

It's no Ritz Carlton, its a motel, and I think previous reviewers expected far too much. We stay here every time we come down to visit family. We rent the cottage, typically, but we have rented the regular rooms in the past. It's always clean, well stocked, and pleasant. Sure, maybe the mini blinds are broken and the deck needs a repaint but again, it's a motel. It's not expensive, it's run by people who obviously care and are trying hard to keep it up. They keep updating things and when you ask for a cot or an AC unit they're right on it. That's good service.

Owner Nick Haven thinks mental health is a joke, and knowing I’m a paying customer, but I say what’s on my mind because my mental health is all over the place and I told him that before I even thought about coming to live here and he does not like being proved wrong, so he pulled over and stopped us in dollar general parking lot today just to talk about me to my mother and boyfriend like I’m and object or not even there then kicking us out, and only gave us a week to find a place to live knowing the fact we’ve been looking for about a year, doesn’t help the fact I’ve had a shitty past few days not being able to sleep and being stressed but he don’t even think about how other people feel he only cares about himself. He lets his cleaning lady do laundry all hours of the day starting at 9-10a

Welcome to the 1950s , nice Quaint clean stopover. Check in by phone went perfectly. Had fun watching the many deer walk by. Definitely not a 5 star resort but exactly what we were looking for and pet friendly. I would stay overnight there again without a doubt.

We had the very best experience this weekend. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating! The beds were comfortable, A/C was cold and bathrooms clean. Thanks so much for a great stay!
