Walnut Lake Campgrounds

Very Rude, and unwelcoming. I’m not from the area, drove into the camp grounds to ask if the pond in the back was public or private. No one at the guard shack. I came in idling speed. A female blocked the gravel road by walking in front of me. She approached my window very aggressively swinging something around in her hand and asked why I’m there. I replied, I’m not from around here I was wondering if the pond is public or private, my son wanted to fish,To where she responded it’s private you can’t be back here and slow down because I seen you flying in when you came in. Mind you I’m not hitting the gas I’m idling. Instead of her offering information about the camp grounds or possibly renting a slot for the night, she came off aggressive. The campground is ok but I have never stayed or visited a campground that the so-called host (curly, red head) that approached me and was rude that i was driving over 5mph which i wasn't. I was out of town and had no idea who she was and why she needed to ask questions. I also figured that it was because my friend and I (girls) were visiting my cousin (guy) that was staying there for work and paying rent but thought we were trouble and had to know where we were going. After that experience, my cousin is going to stay somewhere else.

Where do I start? 99% full timers/partiers; The hose bib leaked like a sieve; the sewer connection was approximately 12 feet away; the noise from the locals having their party went on well past midnight; the 4 wheelers drove by super close (and noisy); 113 voltage on electric. $45 per night, cash only with no receipt for 30 amp (no 50). You'd be better off staying at the Flying J about a quarter mile away. We stayed here in a motorhome. ( Zero sleep )

Place is nice but owner is horribly rude and unreasonable with everything.I would not recommend coming to this campground

Came in during a snow storm and they went out of their way to help us get in, settled and safe!.
