Wakefield Motel

This was the worst experience ever. treated us like we were garbage. she kicked us out before we could even check out. accusing us of smoking in the room. I don't even like the smell of smoke. I know for a fact no one smoked in there. than charged us for 2 rooms. because she put us in the wrong room. we were supposed to get a double bed but she put us in a single. told us YOU PEOPLE ARE NO GOOD. mind you all we did was fish and sleep. we literally did nothing wrong. I have never felt so disrespected. please save your self time and money.

We made reservation weeks ahead and upon arrival, female at check-in said all rooms sold out. We stated credit card info was taken and reservation was confirmed, why no room, she motioned with her hand that lady who took reservation was crazy. Pretty sure she was the owner. They must be on a first come basis regardless of reservation. We went to Riverview which was 5 stars so ended up with a great stay even if more costly. Spend the money on an establishment that puts forth much effort to keep their guests comfortable, not a rude uncaring business.

I truly enjoyed staying at Wakefield. I called for a last minute reservation and was lucky enough to get a room. It was clean and had a fridge, microwave and, ample space for clothing!!! Best of all my room had an awesome view of the water. Extremely convenient and fairly priced. I can't wait to come back

I been coming here for years has always been a good experience except this time..I always get a king size bed for 95 she put us in a mattress my wife and I could barely fit in together.the next day I moved to a king size bed she charged me extra 20 bucks I'm thinking ok whatever inflation..we have always got king-size for 95 ..the following morning my wife and I get up with about a hour left before checkout the smoke detector goes off for about 30 mins my wife told staff it took them 30 minutes to fix. Evem woke up guest from next door...I had 2 catfish fillets in sink with a tad bit of blood which I was getting ready to clean ..she jumped all over me and tried to blame old rust and dirt that was embedded on refrigerator on me as well..we have never left a dirty room as much as we have

Super cute place! Very clean and very nice people! Has cute little kitchenettes with a 2 burner stove, decent sized fridge, microwave, kitchen sink. We can't wait to come back and check out the suite upstairs. Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to Colonial beach!
