Wagon Trail Campground

I can't say enough good about this campground. It is meticulously clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. The owners have thought of every convenience possible to make your stay easy and enjoyable. I appreciate their rules regarding noise, music level and no political propaganda. There is a laundry, library with wood stove, game room and gift shop/convenience store on site. The setting is really beautiful too. Close to Sister Bay and Ellison Bay and many state parks. We return every year 👍

This is our first stay at Wagon Trail Campground. This campground is absolutely amazing! We checked in after 5 pm. Both ladies behind the check-in counter we're so welcoming upon entering the camp store. Nancy was thorough explaining everything! The camp store has a little bit of everything, including essential groceries (milk, eggs, bread). We have two large dogs (goldendoodle & berniedoodle). They love it here too! Super dog friendly campground, with such amazing beauty to check out on our walks. Quiet time is 10 pm, but seriously it's so quiet before then. Very peaceful sleeping at night. We have a semi wooded campsite which is perfect for our 21 ft Winnebago Travato. If you're looking for a campground to stay, you will be so happy you chose Wagon Trail Campground!

Nicest campground we have been to. Everything is so well kept and shower houses exceptionally clean. Sites are wooded or partially wooded and spacious. We have neighbors but trees in between so plenty of privacy. Just an overall great place. Highly recommend.

We just left Wagon Trail after a weeks stay today, and I thought long and hard about this review before writing it. I want to give the owners and staff all of the credit in the world for providing us our favorite campground across 6-7 states. On the other hand, I really, really, hate letting any more people know about this hidden gem at the north end of Door County. It is hard enough to get a spot in the same year you are booking it. If you are looking to party, this is not your place. If you are looking for quiet, dark skies and stargazing, and friendly people, this is the only place. Absolutely loved our stay at Wagon Trail! This was our first time here, and we’ll definitely be back. The staff were so warm and welcoming—it made check-in and every interaction feel easy and enjoyable. One feature I especially appreciated was the ability to charge things like firewood and ice to your account instead of paying each time. It’s such a simple convenience, but it really adds to the relaxed vibe. As many others have mentioned, the bathrooms here are outstanding—hands down the cleanest and nicest I’ve ever seen at a campground. The showers were spotless, and everything felt well cared for. The overall atmosphere was just what I was hoping for in Door County: peaceful, calm, and beautifully maintained. A perfect place to unwind. Can’t wait to come back!
